With extensive experience in public work, Jacob prioritizes understanding customers' primary concerns based on past interactions and the current operation of their facilities. His design philosophy emphasizes the long-term functionality of new MEP systems for decades rather than just a few years. This approach considers all aspects, including initial cost, operating expenses, and energy efficiency. Clients who evaluate the total life cycle cost of their buildings are regarded as exemplary clients.
Jacob Nelson is the principal of the company and founded True Engineering Group in 2015. He currently oversees all aspects of the company, including design engineering, operations, marketing, and business development. While his primary motivation has always been design engineering, his current focus is on mentoring young engineers and providing them with opportunities to learn about MEP systems, thereby ensuring exceptional service to clients.
Outside of his role at True Engineering, Jacob dedicates his time to watching and coaching his three children in baseball and softball. When he is not at a field, he engages in home improvement projects, golfing, or mountain biking. He is a proponent of Sams over Cosco and prefers the color white for all his vehicles.
