True Engineering served as the prime consultant and provided design engineering services for HVAC upgrades at Weller Elementary in Springfield, Missouri. The project was completed in two phases during the summers of 2023 and 2025. The first phase involved replacing the existing chiller with two heat pump chillers. The new chillers improved energy performance and reduced operational noise compared to the previous equipment.

The second phase focused on replacing the north wing’s outdated VRF system. The updates included heat recovery VRF units and a dedicated outside air unit with energy recovery. During both phases, True Engineering supported the district throughout construction to minimize disruptions to daily administrative activities. These upgrades contributed to increased HVAC efficiency and reliability for the building.
