Plaster Student Union - Air Handling Unit

Performed feasibility study and design engineering for upgrades to an existing custom air handling unit with a capacity of 250 tons. The study evaluated the condition of the existing unit and options for total replacement or refurbishing individual components with consideration of cost and schedule. Upon presentation of findings, performed design engineering for refurbishing upgrades including replacement chilled water and steam coils. The existing fans were replaced with a fan array to increase performance and reduce maintenance challenges.
