13,000 SF New Building / $4.0M Project Cost
UA Local 178’s existing Plumbers & Pipefitters facility had become outdated and too small to accommodate growing interest among local high school graduates. To support the next generation of skilled workers, the union acquired a new site and constructed a larger facility designed to meet current workforce needs.
True Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the project. The mechanical systems were designed as a prominent building feature, showcasing both current practices and future possibilities in mechanical installation. The facility uses a four-pipe fan-coil system served by a high-efficiency boiler and chiller. A building automation system improves energy performance while demonstrating system operation.
