-- Renovation / $800K Project Cost

True Engineering served as the prime consultant, partnering with the University to design the kitchen HVAC upgrades and provide construction support. The existing HVAC system was inoperable, requiring portable units for temporary heating and cooling. The kitchen hood make-up air unit also did not operate in accordance with current equipment recommendations.

True Engineering designed a new HVAC system sized for peak summer cooling conditions. Although the original scope did not address the kitchen hood make-up air issue, True Engineering developed a solution that added a make-up air unit and modified the existing hood with an air distribution grille. The design-bid-build project was completed within the owner's original budget.
