Kickapoo High School HVAC Upgrades – Phase 01

True Engineering served as the prime consultant, providing design engineering services for HVAC upgrades at Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri. The existing academic wing VRF system was failing, leaving many classrooms without reliable heating and cooling. True Engineering began with a master plan study to evaluate the failing systems. Phase 01 prioritized the areas with the highest number of failing units and the greatest impact on student indoor air quality.

The replacement scope included seven new dedicated outside air units and seventeen outdoor VRF systems. The project increased the number of VRF systems from nine to seventeen, expanding zoning and reducing the number of classrooms affected by a single system failure. True Engineering also provided construction administration services to monitor contractor progress during the compressed summer construction schedule.
